The Bible Devotion Messages

A biblical word promising happiness。 When you speak only the Bible, you will be given satisfaction and joy and peace.

By His own blood

"When Christ came as high priest of the good thing that are already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves, but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption." (Hebrews9:11,12 NIV)

Jesus Christ is the sacrifice and the priest.

The Bible emphasizes the love of God, but at the same time, it repeats over and over about the horror of sin and the punishment of sin as consequence.

Not only is sin incompatible with God, but the sin itself is to rebel against God, and destroy God. Nor can the sin and its consequence be accepted by the sacred nature of God. "For the wage of sin is death" (Romans6:23 NIV)

As humans are called sinners, they are guilty and cannot stand before God. If we sees God, we will perish in a moment because of the holy glory of God.

God saw with love those who perish in sin, and wanted save them, so He sent Jesus Christ, His son to this earth. God laid all the sin of humans and the death as the punishment of the sin upon Christ who is the Son of God, and killed Him on the cross. The death of Christ on the cross was the death as the punishment of the sin which humans ought to have received. Christ died for our stead. The death of Christ saved and cleansed us.

To get rid of the sin

If you have a sin or evil in your heart, it is difficult to sleep and you have no peace in your heart. You don't feel cheerful in your  interaction with others. If you leave it as it is, your heart will become hard and dull.

I have planted lawn in the yard of my church . I was told to get rid of weeds because they might grow. I was careful to remove weeds while they were small as much as possible. However, when I was lazy and left it alone, the number of weeds continued to increase and it became difficult to remove it. Sin is the same thing, and if you don't pluck the buds early, you'll have more weeds in your mind that are outrageous sins.

Sin begins with a little thing. You think you can do it because anybody can do it, it is small thing, it is only once, there is still a long way to go, you can stop this kind of thing at any time. You end up committing the sin.

But if you committed a sin once, you will be bound and ensalaved. You will commit the sin once, twice, three times, four times, and finally you become habitual sinner.

But we do not have to be swayed by sin. The Bible says "But you know that he appeared so that he might take alway our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keep on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.(1John 3:5,6 NIV)

Where are you?

But the Lord God called to the man, 'Where are you?'" (Genesis 3:9 NIV)

Has the loved one ever left you?

Have you ever been abandoned by a lover, friend, or loved one?

What was in your mind then? On the other hand, there may be people who betrayed their close friends against their will and have suffered from regret for a long time.

Adam, the first man created by God, and Eve, the first woman, were surrounded by God's overflowing love. Nothing was wanting. But Adam sinned through the temptation of the devil, and disobeyed the command of God, and  turned against God. and he fled from God, and hid himself.

God's heart must have been hurt. But God did not stop loving people. Rather, they opened their hearts even more and called to people.

"Where are you?" God said. This was a story of unparalleled love for Adam and Eve. But you also made Adam and Eve aware of their  position.  They were escaping from the God of Love. And they realized that I was going to make them worse. How can a person who betrays and failes others return? Those who feel guilty curse themselves and become desperate. They make excuses.

But God spoke to Adam and Eve with a wonderful love that overcome human regret  and even human guilt. It was the love of Jesus Christ, expressed on the cross.

In the word of God, "Where are you?", We can find the love that transcends the pain of those who have been betrayed,  that brings those who have been betrayed and been frustrated back, that unites the two.

Don't be afraid

Ever wondered what your future might look like? Students who study hard day and night before college entrance exams may wonder if they can get into the university they want. I think people who have just started a new  job or who have started to work on a new project are anxious about their relationships and whether their work will go well.

Anxiety is related to the future, and it becomes dreadful when the future is dark and uncertain.

As I get older, I have various worries. In my dream, I got off the train and tried to remember the name of the station to make sure I had arrived at my destination, but I just can't remember. My head aches, and at last I was worried that my memory was ruined by my age, and I woke up thinking that I had to let my wife know as soon as possible.

In the Bible, Abraham was given a promise from God that he would be blessed with a child, but he got worried because  he was getting old without fulfilling the promise. One day, in the deep silence of the twilight, Abraham heard a voice. It was a nostalgic and merciful voice of God.

"Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, Your very great reward." (Genesis 15:1 NIV)

Abraham who listened to the words of God  was able to obtain a new assurance of the future and calm himself down and look forward with conviction.

God says to us, "Don't be afraid." Let's move forward with peace of mind.

Bible is speaking of our lives

Have you ever regretted something in your life?

There are countless things I have regretted, but the greatest of them is why I have not studied the Book of Scriptures from a much younger age.

Since I started learning the Bible  earnestly in my 40s, I've come to realize it's like a library, as some people say. It's a library that describes various lives of many people.

When you learn the Bible, you can meet people in the Bible at any time.

You can know their worries and pleasures, morals and stumbles, failures and successes. You will notice that the Bible is speaking of your own life.

Although the Bible can be read by elementary school students, its content is simple and profound, and it is something that not only children but also learned people can never understand fully.

Many people have learned about the Bible. They can not understand everything of the Bible. This can be seen in the fact that even after 1000 years of research, it never ends.

It's not easy to learn the Bible, but you can learn it with a primer or a correspondence course. I remember that I was absorbed in the bible correspondence course.

Also, when we study the Bible, we are required to concentrate our mind to it and put its priority first. You are absorbed in what you like, but the Bible requires you to do more than that. the Bible is very interesting and attractive.

Once you know the Bible, it becomes the best book of life and you want to devote yourself to it.
